Portable Displays
Who uses portable displays? You may think that you do not use portable displays on a daily basis, but in fact most people make good use of them every day. You make good use of them by viewing the products that are attractively displayed for you to purchase. In reality, they are a big part of everyday life for everybody.
People in the trade show business depend heavily on portable displays, as is the case with people that work the craft show circuits. When you shop at retail department stores, grocery stores, mom and pop stores, and home improvement centers, you are surrounded by many types of portable displays.
What characteristics should you be looking for when purchasing these displays? Everybody will require different needs and types of displays for their individual purposes. You should, however, pin down some of your specific requirements before you begin shopping for each display.
For example, if you are going to be setting up a display at different locations on a weekly basis, then portability is key. Weight and bulkiness are important to consider when purchasing. Are you setting this up by yourself, or do you also have some helpers available? Are the parts of the display flexible and maybe even inter-changeable?
Is the display easy and fast to set up, or is it time consuming? Some shows where you may set up displays only allow you so much time to complete the setup. Shop carefully, with your needs in mind, because the best-looking price may not have any lasting durability over time. Any display that is too bulky and heavy should only be considered for use if it is used in a permanent location.
Let's look at some different types of portable displays. Pop up displays are very popular. They are portable and usually take about 10 to 15 minutes to set up. Their structures are straight or curved in shape. Many are made with the addition of graphics and photographs. (cont'd pg. 2)
